Obtain an Invitation to Apply
You need to receive an invitation to apply before you apply.
To receive an invitation to apply from a potential supervisor within Monash Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, you’ll need to:
1 | Find a supervisor who agrees to supervise your research. You can browse for potential supervisors and/or interesting research projects via:
Before approaching potential supervisors to seek an invitation to apply please check your eligibility for the proposed course on the Monash Graduate Research Office website. |
---|---|
2 | Applicants complete and sign an Expression of Interest (EoI) form |
3 | Send the completed and signed EoI (along with your CV and academic transcripts) to potential supervisors for review and endorsement. The EoI signed by a potential supervisor can be used as an invitation to apply when submitting a research degree application. |
The Faculty does not have a deadline for obtaining an invitation to apply. However if you are applying for a scholarship, strict application closing dates apply. As such, scholarship applicants should allow plenty of time to have that discussion with the potential supervisor, gain their support and obtain a valid invitation to apply.
Exception: PhD (Clinical Psychology) and PhD (Clinical Neuropsychology) applicants are not required to submit an invitation to apply or a research proposal with their application. For full details on the application process and eligibility criteria for these degrees, refer to Clinical Doctoral Programs Admission Process.
Submit an application
See the application guide and Faculty specific information to learn about what you'll need to provide in each section of the application process. If you wish to be considered for scholarships, simply indicate this on the application form. There is no need to fill out a separate application form.
Applications for admission only may be made at any time throughout the year. However, strict application closing dates apply for scholarship applications.
