Patient Experiences and Outcomes research in the Monash Emergency Research Collaborative is headed by Associate Professor Lisa Kuhn.
Associate Professor Lisa Kuhn (Associate Professor, Nursing & Midwifery, Monash University) is an emergency nurse with more than 25 years of experience in clinical, academic and research nursing. Lisa’s current research involves developing and testing a predictive model to reduce unwarranted variation from evidence-based practice for heart attacks in women. Future research will involve translating the model into practice to improve patient outcomes. Lisa is currently supervising Honours and Masters students who are doing exciting studies to improve care in cardiac catheter laboratories and mental health units. Lisa has been a member of a Low Risk Ethics Committee and is an active member of several professional organisations. She regularly provides peer review for numerous international and Australian journals.
