Monash Health-Southern Synergy Research Seeding Grants 2021 - Closed

Monash Health through Southern Synergy supports new research in mental health through the provision of Mental Health Research Seeding Grants, intended to encourage new mental health research and new researchers in small-scale projects including preparatory work towards applications for external funding.

Two to five small grants are available ranging from $2,000 to $5,000. Personnel employed in any mental health service within Monash Health are eligible to apply.

Successful grants are mentored through the project with regular contact and monitoring of milestones by a senior researcher from Southern Synergy.

Applications for 2021 grant round closed on  1 October 2021 with successful projects commencing from 1 January 2022.

The aim of this study is to evaluate whether designing and building sensory gardens for consumers within a community mental health setting can support recovery outcomes.
