Advanced Life Support Paramedic – Ambulance Victoria 2003  till present.

Teaching Associate Monash University 2016 till present.

Certificate 4 Workplace Training and Assessing 2010 and  upgraded 2015.

Trevor started his Ambulance career as a student in 2003 and  completed the Diploma of Ambulance Paramedic Studies in 2006. He consolidated his learning for the years  after that and then became a Clinical Instructor in 2009 and assisted graduate  paramedics in their first year of paramedic life.  From there he became a Clinical Instructor  for the Emergency Management Response (EMR) department conducting the following  duties:

  • Facilitated the education of the Metropolitan  Fire Brigade(MFB) as well as documenting cases attended.
  • Facilitate the induction and education of the  EMR program for the Country Fire Authority (CFA).
  • Facilitate and participate in scenario days for  Community Education and Response Teams (CERT) in Kinglake and Lang Lang.
  • Facilitate the Public Access Defibrillation  (PAD) course to the general public.

Trevor joined the Department of Community  Emergency Health and Paramedic Practice (DCEHPP) in 2016 as a teaching  associate role, facilitating and educating the undergraduate paramedics.  This inspired Trevor to apply for a  secondment role at DCEPP in semester 2 of 2017.   He was successful and is looking forward to the challenges it presents  and the positive influence it will have on his career development.
