Biography

Brian Haskins has over 20 years’ experience as an advanced paramedic,  academic and manager in healthcare organisations in Australia, the United Arab  Emirates (UAE), USA and Ireland. He completed his Certificate in Paramedic  Technology and his Bachelor of Science – Health Science (Highest Honors) with  Northeastern University in Boston, USA. Brian worked as an ALS Paramedic in Boston  for over 6 years before returning to Ireland where he joined the Irish National  Ambulance Service as a Training and Development Officer. He completed a Graduate Diploma in  Emergency Medical Services from the School of Medicine, University College  Dublin and a Master of Health Services Management from the School of Medicine,  Trinity College Dublin before moving to Australia in 2011 to join Charles Sturt  University in Bathurst NSW as a Lecturer for the Paramedic Program and then as the  Undergraduate Program Leader. IN 2014 was appointed the Clinical Education  Manager for National Ambulance in the UAE where he led a team of 15 clinical  educators and support staff who were responsible for clinical education, audit,  investigation and research.

Teaching

Brian has a Graduate  Certificate in University Learning and Teaching, from Charles Sturt University,  NSW, Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Outdoor Education, from the Curriculum  Development Unit, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. In 2017 Brian will be  co-coordinator for the following subjects;

  • Paramedic Management of Trauma Conditions BEH 2022
