Aoife Cooke supports Dr Claire Harrison and her colleagues on the MeyeNET project as a research assistant.
After being awarded a Masters in Education from Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland, for an exploration into education policy relating to the Traveller community (Ireland’s indigenous nomadic ethnic group), Aoife worked with Monash University in the School of Education. As a community development researcher, she has most recently looked into the wellbeing of residents of not-for-profit retirement villages with Housing for the Aged Action Group, for submission to the current Parliamentary Inquiry into Retirement Housing.
Aoife has worked in health promotion, health education and women’s health for ten years in the community development and education sectors in both Dublin and Melbourne.
