There is now a substantial body of evidence demonstrating that enabling General Practitioners to facilitate Return To Work (RTW) improves health outcomes for injured workers. One of the key facilitators in any RTW process is the certificate of capacity. WorkSafe and the TAC are seeking to redesign the current certificate of capacity as part of its longer GP-RTW Engagement Strategy. The purpose of this study, using qualitative methods, is to undertake a process evaluation of the redesigned certificate of capacity to determine the appropriateness of its content and assess its usability by user groups.
