Research Interests

Adult rehabilitation, social and community participation following spinal cord injury; assistive technology for people with severe physical disability, interdisciplinary education.

Linda’s current research includes examining outcomes following  rehabilitation, in particular the social and community participation of people following spinal cord injury; use of assistive technologies to improve people’s participation, health and well-being; best practice related to motorised mobility scooters; consumer involvement in the design and delivery of occupational therapy curriculum; and impact of occupational therapy services on people over 65 years leaving hospital with chronic medical conditions.

Linda joined the Department of Occupational Therapy at Monash University in 2008 and since this time has been teaching Occupational Therapy theory and practical skills to second year students in the undergraduate program, and was Second Year Coordinator of the undergraduate program until 2014. Currently Linda is teaching into the Master of Occupational Therapy Practice program. In addition Linda has supervised a number of honours students.
