My primary role in the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences is to prepare, contextualize and hand over the Monash Medical Imaging program to Fatima College of Health Sciences (FCHS), a female only college in Abu Dhabi, with whom Monash has entered a contractual agreement to deliver several health science programs. I periodically visit FCHS with other staff members to describe and assist with teaching methods and various pedagogical issues. I also assist with the moderation of the semester units as they are completed and assessed.

My long involvement with international activities enables me to support and promote international activities that take place within the department. My PhD study comparing the psycho social aspects of radiographic practice globally provides a research focus on the nontechnical components of the profession and how the profession in Australia compares to the rest of the world.

I am a currently certified mammographer and remain involved in the teaching of this component of the curriculum at Monash. Past teaching and research in several countries allows me to support and contribute to the program in a number of areas.
