Dr Strudwick is actively involved in teaching advanced medical imaging students at the undergraduate level, coordinating RAD4080 (selected topics in medical imaging) and planning and developing MRI courses for delivery at the postgraudate and industry level.

Dr Strudwick has been involved in medical imaging since qualifying in 1974. He has also been involved with the clinical practice of acupuncture since qualifying to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1976. As recognition of this he was made a Fellow of Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association in 1997. Although no longer active in clinical practice, Mark still has a special research interest in the effects of TCM, especially using imaging technologies and until recently has been involved with active research groups investigating early markers of heart disease and normal cartilage structure in weight bearing joints as mapped with high field MRI.

Mark also has a long standing interest in medical history, particularly the development of advanced instrumentation. He is a reviewer for the journals "Complementary Therapies in Medicine" and "Acupuncture in Medicine" and a Member of the Section for Magnetic Resonance Technologists - International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.
