Health and Disability service delivery
We are international leaders in the field of disinvestment trials and use of stepped wedge designs to measure the effectiveness of health technologies where evidence is sparse or unclear. Head of School, Professor Terry Haines, is a world leader in the field of falls prevention in hospitals, developing the only single intervention strategy (patient education) repeatedly shown to reduce falls in hospitals. Our school is currently leading research to identify the most effective way to assist Health Service Managers to translate evidence into practice.
