Liane graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from Monash University, with a double major in genetics and psychology, before commencing her PhD off-campus at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI). Her PhD project focused on program evaluation and health behaviour in the field of reproductive genetic screening. Since completing her PhD, Liane worked as a Research Officer at Monash University, in collaboration with Victorian Transport Accident Commission (TAC), exploring the impact of compensation on physical and psychological recovery following traumatic injury.
Liane currently holds two positions within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. She is a Research Associate within the Cancer Research Program (CRP) led by Professor John Zalcberg, and the Registry Coordinator of a clinical quality registry for thyroid cancer within the Registry Sciences Unit (RSU) led by Associate Professor Susannah Ahern. As part of her role in the CRP Liane is working on an NHMRC Project Grant led by Associate Professor Sue Evans.
