Robin Haring joined SPHPM in November 2016 as Adjunct Professor. With a diploma in demography and a PhD in epidemiology, Robin has a strong track record in the field of population health and cardiovascular epidemiology.

After he finished his PhD with distinction, he was awarded with a postdoctoral fellowship in the Framingham Heart Study, Boston University in 2010. He published more than 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals, several books and book chapters, and received fellowships from the Max-Planck Society, European Union and World Heart Federation , as well as research funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Robin conducted extensive research in the role of testosterone as men’s health biomarker. With publications in Nature, Nature Genetics and PLoS Genetics, he also actively contributed to the multi-cohort CHARGE consortium and the understanding of the genetic determinants of sex hormones. In 2014 he became one of the youngest Professors in Germany, at the European University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Applied Public Health, where he is passionate about teaching, mentoring and supervising from undergraduate to doctoral level.
