Jenna Lang's research
Jenna Lang’s research focuses on the quality of existing guidelines and training for clinicians providing rehabilitation interventions in the intensive care unit, and includes the following planned studies:
A systematic review of existing clinical practice guidelines will examine the quality and content of current recommendations for early functional rehabilitation of adult patients admitted to the intensive care unit. It is hoped this research will provide insights which support improvements in the quality of future clinical practice guidelines and highlight gaps where further primary research is required to support the development of evidence-based recommendations.
The Delphi Consensus method will be utilised to develop a multi-disciplinary competency assessment tool for mobilisation of intensive care unit patients. This study will recruit expert clinicians and researchers from all key disciplines across Australia and New Zealand to determine the relevant elements and performance criteria with consumer engagement utilised to ensure relevancy to patient centred care.
