Public Health Genomics Program
We explore the role of genetic information in public and population health. Our program conducts innovative research centred around the genetic analysis of large cohort studies, clinical trials and registries.
We're part of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
About us
We aim to address major issues faced by the field of human genetics, including how to convert large amounts of genomic sequence data into meaningful medical information, and interpret and disclose genetic information responsibly.
DNA Screen
DNA Screen offers secure, free DNA testing to identify risk of cancer and heart disease that can be prevented or treated early.
A-GLIMMER
A-GLIMMER is a research project which aims to monitor the impact and effectiveness of the moratorium on the use of genetic test results in life insurance underwriting in Australia.
ASPREE Genomics
Genetic studies on samples from the ASPREE Healthy Ageing Biobank will enable us to better understand the role of our genes in health and ageing.
