Basic Aviation Medicine for Nurses and Paramedics

Overview

This two-day full-time intensive course provides nurses and paramedics with an introduction to aviation medicine. It is run in conjunction with Qatar Airways, and is excellent preparation for nurses and paramedics wishing to understand the health implications of the aviation environment on patients and passengers or to develop a career in aviation medicine.

The course includes presentations on the essential elements of flight physiology and the aircraft cabin  environment, clinical aviation medicine and passenger fitness to fly, in-flight medical emergencies and important regulatory issues.

The course makes extensive use of clinical cases and real-world scenarios, as well as presentations from Qatar Airways medical staff.
