Elysia has a Bachelor of Health Science from Monash University. Prior to joining the Cancer Research Program (CRP), she worked as a Research Administration Officer for the Australian Stroke Clinical Registry. She has also previously worked in the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine Falls and Bone Health Team, on the 6-PACK Falls Prevention Project and on RESPOND RCT. Her roles included data collection, recruitment and outcome assessing.
Elysia's primary role within the CRP is to help establish the Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Registry (UGICR). This involves the preparation, submission and management of research ethics and governance, supporting site implementation processes and data collection. The UGICR is a clinical quality registry, collecting information relating to the diagnosis, treatment and outcomes of patients diagnosed with primary cancers of the pancreas, oesophagus, stomach, liver and biliary system.
