Research Officer, Global and Women's Health

Ms Nguyen is a Research Officer and an experienced Data Manager at Global and Women's Health. Before joining Monash University in 2011, she had worked in government, commercial, not-for-profit and academic organisations in Vietnam and Australia.

Ms Nguyen has co-ordinated the data collection, managed data and/or conducted analyses of multiple projects to completion including longitudinal and trial studies. She has intensive skills in managing data derived from multiple sources; designing research data entry screens and online surveys using Microsoft Access, REDcap, Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey; designing and maintaining participants tracking databases using Microsoft Access; and cleaning and analysing data using STATA and SPSS.

Ms Nguyen is a member of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine’s (SPHPM) Research Governance team and is responsible for managing the school’s Data Management Tool. She also provides general support to projects and processes, research activities for the Global and Women’s Health unit and SPHPM including updating Sapphire and RMS profiles, and creating and managing PURE records for applications, grants and publications.
