Dr Liane Ioannou is a Research Fellow within the Cancer Research Program, led by Professor John Zalcberg, at the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from Monash University, with a double major in genetics and psychology, before commencing her PhD off-campus at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI). Her PhD project focused on program evaluation and health behaviour in the field of reproductive genetic screening.
As a Research Fellow Liane is currently working on a number of projects within the Cancer Research Program. She is leading a Victorian Cancer Agency (VCA) funded registry-based randomised controlled trial, PROpatient. She is also working on a bi-national thyroid cancer clinical quality registry, led by Associate Professor Susannah Ahern, and a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) funded project, Pancreatic Cancer Registry for Quality Improvement, led by Professor Sue Evans.
