2019 Student Awards
Message from the Dean Student Awards Ceremony
The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences is pioneering innovations, treatments and therapies that improve human health. We are a leading provider of healthcare education in Australia, and are passionate about building the medical workforce of the future globally.
We are proud of our teaching staff who are at the forefront of innovation and ground-breaking research, often fulfilling the role of academic and clinician at the same time. Their goal is not only to educate and train the next generation of world-class health professionals, but also to inspire them to become leaders that educate and mentor others in their professorial fields.
The annual Faculty Student Awards is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of some of our best and brightest students for their outstanding academic performance in the previous year. Many recipients of these awards will go on to be future leaders in research, clinical practice, policy formulation, health services and academia.
Congratulations to all the prize winners for the 2019 academic year. I applaud your dedication and hard work, and I encourage you to keep asking questions in your quest for better health outcomes.
I also know that for many of you, your achievements are underpinned by the strong support from family, friends and academic staff.
The generosity of the many prize donors whose investment in the future, makes these awards possible, warrants special recognition. This commitment to support our students and provide tangible recognition for their academic achievements, reflects your aligned vision of improving health outcomes for a better world.
