Academic requirements of the minor thesis and research project

The Minor Thesis constitutes 36 credit points of research study and the Research Project constitutes 24 credit points of research study within a MNHS postgraduate coursework degree.

It is an expectation that the student has completed at least a minimum of a 6 credit point 
Research Methodology unit before consideration is given to allow the student to commence 
the Faculty MAP unit sequence.

Three units are to be completed for the Minor Thesis:

  • MAP5000 Research in advanced health professional practice (12cpts),
  • MAP5001 Preparatory minor thesis (12cpts), and
  • MAP5002 Minor thesis (12cpts).

Two units are to be completed for the Research Project:

  • MAP5000 Research in advanced health professional practice (12cpts),
  • MAP5010  Advanced health practice research project (12cpts)

As research project/minor thesis units are coursework units standard university principal dates apply to their administration.
