Annual STM Graduate Research Symposium

The School of Translational Medicine (STM) annual Graduate Research Symposium is the key event for postgraduate students at Monash STM to showcase their innovative research projects, to their peers, colleagues, and industry partners. The symposium is a highlight event organised
by the STM-GRSC.

STM-GRSC x MGA Careers Expo

In recognition of the STM-GRSC’s role to advocate and support students, the committee, in conjunction with the MGA, were delighted to organise and execute the first Student Careers Expo in 2022l. The committee secured over 20 exhibitors from across research, education, government and industry, including Deloitte, CSIRO, Pearson, and E&Y to name a few. Students were able to freely network with the attending exhibitors and learn about the wide range of career opportunities available following their graduate research degrees. The event also hosted three additional workshops to further bolster students' skill sets. The event received very positive feedback from students and exhibitors who expressed interest in attending the event again in 2023!

Online Community

We have a private CGRS Slack channel for students across Alfred Precinct Institutes to communicate both professionally and socially. Our students are spread across sites, labs, clinics and buildings, thus we hope this online forum will serve as a commonplace for student communication.

We are building a social media presence (follow us on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and/or Facebook) with the aim of promoting students’ work to a wider audience. If you are a student who has recently published a paper, has an upcoming conference presentation, won an award, or is looking for research participants, let us know by emailing cgrs-committee@monash.edu or Twitter direct message so we can work with you to spread the word!
