2020 Seed Fund Results

Our 2020 MIME Seed Funding round was a huge success which saw:

  • 57 project-proposal applications for unmet clinical needs submitted by our clinical champions.
  • Following our Affinity meeting and review process, 44 full project proposals were submitted by clinical and faculty research teams that were rigorously reviewed and ranked by a panel of experts.
  • 8 initial projects chosen for Seed Fund Grants. 6 additional projects chosen for Seed Fund Grants in March 2021.
  • 1 project to receive a Top-Up Grant (this project having received a Seed Fund Grant in the 2019 Round).
  • In total, $750,000 in Seed and Top-Up Grant funding awarded.

Thank you to all clinicians who submitted an unmet clinical need and to all researchers who submitted a project proposal. We extend our congratulations to the top nine successful project teams, and look forward to the 2021 MIME Seed Fund round.
