2021 MIME Seed Funding Phase 1 proposals

Responding to MIME Phase 1 Proposals

A fantastic array of opportunities for clinical innovation have been proposed by Monash University affiliated clinician researchers in Phase 1 of the 2021 MIME Seed Funding round.

We now invite Monash University Faculty of Engineering, IT and Design staff to express interest in solving these clinical problems.

Please click on the link below to view the list of accepted Phase 1 proposals (please note this link is restricted to Monash staff). To view the full description of the unmet clinical need, please click on the Project Title. Staff are reminded that these applications are confidential, and covered by existing Monash University confidentiality provisions.

Where a proposal of interest is identified, and expertise can contribute to the solution team, we encourage contact to be made with the lead clinician researcher to initiate discussion (contact details listed in the link to view proposals below. For those clinicians who have not received contact by Friday 3 September, please contact Andrew Carey on andrew.carey@monash.edu).

Many of the clinical challenges proposed will require a multidisciplinary team to fully tackle the challenge, (e.g. clinical, engineering and design, or clinical, IT, science and biomedical, etc). We encourage the lead clinician and other interested researchers to collaborate to scope the proposed R&D plan, to be submitted in the Phase 2 application process. MIME is able to facilitate by arranging workshops or brainstorming sessions for teams as required, or can assist in identifying complementary capability needed for a team.

2021 PHASE 2 MIME Seed Fund Application Form – applications for Phase 2 applications now closed.
