Live At The Alex

San Cisco + The Mamas & Seb Szabo

SOLD OUT

MSA & MLIVE are excited to announce this second instalment of Live At The Alex, following the success of last year’s sell-out show featuring Middle Kids.

Fremantle band San Cisco will bring their unique blend of indie, pop music to Monash University’s Alexander Theatre when they headline Live At The Alex. With three solid albums under their belt, the indie quartet has been a household name in Australia since hitting the scene in 2009. Their latest album, The Water, was met with global success and lead single ‘Hey Did I Do You Wrong’ came in at #79 in Triple J’s revered Hottest 100 of 2017. With no other live gigs planned in Melbourne, this special performance will be the only place you can see San Cisco play this tour.

The Mamas are an eight-piece soul, RnB and funky fem-hop outfit from Melbourne, led by four of the sassiest vocalists you’ll ever meet. Equal parts fabulous and fearsome, The Mamas have been disciplining and nurturing audiences around Melbourne for the past two years, becoming known for their sequin-studded shows and their knack for toeing the line between hard-hitting social commentary and outrageous comedy. If their debut EP ‘Juicy’ is anything to go by, you can expect alarming sensuality, disarming humour, timeless melodies, four part harmonies, and good, old-fashioned maternal wisdom.

With a passionate blend of big-hearted indie rock and lyrics as honest as they are emotive, American-born and Melbourne-raised rock singer-songwriter Seb Szabo has barely begun his solo adventures in 2019, and yet he is already making waves. A gifted lyricist and charismatic performer, in just a few short months Szabo and his enigmatic band have already graced stages at The Toff In Town, Some Velvet Morning and Airey’s Inlet Open Mic Festival.

In addition to amazing live music, food trucks, and drinks at student-friendly prices will be sure to make this a night to remember.
