Paul Grabowsky’s New Grooves

Paul Grabowsky’s New Grooves

Celebrating the launch of the new Monash Jazz Club at the Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts, The Paul Grabowksy Trio presents five nights of original compositions and innovative jazz interpretations. Inviting special guests to take the stage each week, the series showcases a range of styles, stories and sounds from the early years of jazz to the present day.

Guest artists include award-winning stage star violinist/vocalist Fem Belling; soul singer Chelsea Wilson; activist and jazz chanteuse Mama Alto; the incomparable Mirko Guerrini on saxophone and rising jazz-star Alma Zygier. Highlighting talent from Monash’ own school of music performers the line-up also includes trumpet player Ash Ballat, saxophonist Sam Odaantje and trombonist Callum Mintzis, plus appearances from faculty members such as Paul Williamson on trumpet, Rob Burke on Sax and Gian Slater on vocals.
