On Monday 30th April 2012, the Monash Centre for Astrophysics will host a one-day workshop on Turbulence in the Interstellar Medium. The intention is to hold a small and informal workshop to gather together researchers within Australia with a common interest in this topic, in order to find potential new directions and collaborations
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
Location
Note the changed venue! due to strong demand. The workshop will be held in Room Krongold 19 (K19), Building 5 (Education faculty), located in the South-East corner of the Clayton campus (See Campus map). See travel information below. For the afternoon session (2pm) the venue will shift to G19 in nearby Building 6

Travel and Accommodation
Information on travel to the Monash University Clayton Campus can be found here. Please note that Monash is some distance from the airport. The best way from the airport is to take the Skybus to Southern Cross station, then jump on the train (Pakenham/Cranbourne line) to Huntingdale station, from where the 601 shuttle bus runs every few minutes to the Clayton campus. The whole trip takes 1 hour and 25 minutes (use the public transport journey planner - from Melbourne airport to Monash University/Wellington Rd, Clayton).
A taxi from the airport can cost up to $150. A cheaper alternative is to take the Skybus from the airport, then take a taxi from the city to Monash.
A direct and cheap option is the Monash airport shuttle, but the timetable is fairly infrequent (leaves 7:45am, 9:30am from Melbourne airport).
A list of local accommodation options can be found here.
