Dr Brett Davis is Program Manager of the Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments (RISE) program being implemented in Fiji and Indonesia. RISE is led by the Monash Sustainable Development Institute based in Melbourne, Australia.
Brett is an environmental and social development specialist with broad cross-sectoral and multi-disciplinary expertise across consulting, academia, government and communications, and has worked on a range of development projects in Southeast Asia, the Asia-Pacific and West Africa. His professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in earth and environmental science from the University of Tasmania, a Masters of Applied Science (MApplSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in environmental science from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Torrens University.
Brett's research and practice interests are in the assessment and mitigation of water pollution and environmental risks in complex systems, and in the co-design of development projects for lasting benefit of people and planet.
