Local SDGs program
This partnership with Deakin University is undertaking case studies using mixed qualitative (participatory) and quantitative (modelling) methods. It assesses options for improving multiple socio-economic and environmental dimensions of sustainability for two regional Australian communities, each facing unique challenges.

Voluntary Local Review Handbook for Pacific Cities and Towns
Currently in development, this guide is being developed in collaboration with Pacific cities and towns to support Voluntary Local Reviews.

City of Melbourne VLR
MSDI was instrumental in supporting Melbourne to become the first city in Australia to conduct a VLR.

Enabling local actions for the Sustainable Development Goals
This PhD thesis by MSDI’s Dianty Ningrum reveals the diversity of the ways that the SDGs can bring impact at the local level and how global-to-local sustainability governance can be enacted.
