MSDI's Dr Paul Satur named Victoria's Young Water Professional of the Year
Early career environmental and social science researcher, Dr Paul Satur, from the Monash Sustainable Development Institute's Centre for Water Sensitive Cities has been named the Young Water Professional of the Year at the Australian Water Association's (AWA) Victorian Water Awards.
Dr Satur was recognised for the "substantial contribution" he has made to the Australian water sector in a career spanning just ten years.
The award also acknowledged Dr Satur's "passion for developing the knowledge, tools and influence to foster a socially inclusive and vibrant sustainable water future for everyone."
What are the Victorian Water Awards?
The Victorian Water Awards promote outstanding work by individuals and organisations in the water industry and recognise the contribution of the AWA's members for their inspiring leadership and innovative research, programs and infrastructure projects, across six key categories.
Dr Satur, who is also co-founder of the Our Future Cities organisation, received his award during the AWA's Victorian Water Awards Luncheon held at ZINC at Federation Square on December 5.
