Description | Sustainability transitions require substantial change in lifestyles and for behaviour change in the way we produce and consume. Simultaneously, behavioural public policy has emerged globally as a significant area of research-policy translation. Links between behaviour and systems change, however, aren’t well understood. This seminar will provide a review and critical interpretive synthesis of current contributions on behaviour from transitions research. ABOUT THE SPEAKER Stefan Kaufman Senior Research Fellow at BehaviourWorks Australia in the Monash Sustainable Development Institute Stefan’s work focuses on the theory and practice of applying behavioural research to help people understand and change systems for sustainability. This has included working from the government side with BehaviourWorks’ as EPA Victoria’s in-house social science lead. He was seconded to BWA in 2018 to initiate a new program to help government agencies tackle shared challenges with behavioural public policy approaches.
