The United Nations adopted its 17 Sustainable Development Goals in 2015.
Building on the pillars of environmental sustainability, social inclusion and economic prosperity, each of the goals highlight a different area we should be focusing our efforts on globally – with the aim of achieving them by 2030.
We’re changing it together
Monash has a wealth of sustainable development expertise across its ten faculties – and Monash Sustainable Development Institute provides a platform to share that expertise in partnership with industry and government. It’s up to us to harness the strength of the research, education and engagement from every corner of the university, and use that talent to bring about solutions to the world’s sustainable development challenges.
Ultimately, the Sustainable Development Goals are an essential part of who we are, and what we do – and Monash is committed to playing a fundamental role to achieving them.
