MUDRI's annual mid-year Community Resilience Forum
- 29 July 2020 at 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
MUDRI's annual mid-year Community Resilience Forum will return again this year, but in the current COVID-19 situation will be conducted as an interactive, on-line Forum using the Zoom meeting facility.
Date & time: Wednesday 29th July, 2020 9.00am - 1.00pm
The Forum will include the 14th Professor Frederick 'Skip' Burkle Annual Keynote Lecture, this year presented by Ms Amanda Leck, Executive Director, Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience.
The theme for this Keynote Lecture will highlight Australia's National Disaster Risk Reduction Framework, recently endorsed by the Australian government, the associated CSIRO Profiling Australia’s Vulnerability: The interconnected causes and cascading effects of systemic disaster risk and the extensive resources available on this theme on the AIDR Knowledge Hub.
The keynote Lecture will be co-hosted with the WADEM Oceania Chapter.
The Forum's program will also include our usual Community Resilience Showcase of activities selected from EOI's submitted from around the State and a highlight an update on the Compendium of Victorian Community-based Resilience Building Case Studies.
We still have the capacity to include a couple more Community Resilience Showcase presentations. If you’d like to share your Community Resilience activity with like minded colleagues please submit an EOI of up to 50 words naming your activity and an outline of its key features. Please submit your EOI to Frank Archer by Friday 10th July, with your own contact details and organisation. Maybe you have led a community Resilience activity related to COVID-19 you’d like to share with the Forum participants.
Details of the final program and Zoom contact details will be circulated to those who register their interest one week before the Forum.
Please register your interest in participating in this free, online Forum by emailing Frank Archer at firstname.lastname@example.org
