Dudley is the Monash University Emergency Management Senior Policy Advisor at MUDRI. He is the proprietor of the DMac DIRECTIONS emergency management consultancy. He has recently provided consultancy services to the World Health Organisation in Geneva, to the Federal Department of Health and Ageing and to the Victorian Departments of Health, Human Services, DEPI, DPC and Justice, to VICSES, RMIT and to the Victorian Emergency Services, Fire Services and Emergency Management Commissioners. He was an RAAF officer for 28 years and has been a senior emergency manager internationally with the United Nations and at Federal, State and local government level. He served as the Director of the Federal Government’s Australian Emergency Management Institute at Mount Macedon and also as Director of the Emergency Management Branch of the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.
He recently was awarded the Master of Philosophy at Monash University. His thesis considered the professionalisation of Australian emergency managers.
