Why did you choose to study at MUARC as part of our Injury Prevention Graduate Research Industry Partnership (IP-GRIP) program?
I wanted to pursue a PhD in an institution that would have experience in road safety research and dealing with current society challenges, and also allow me to connect my research with innovation and policy making topics.
What is your thesis topic?
My thesis topic is about creating liveable cities that accommodate movement and place with safe mobility as its foundation.
What is your favourite thing about studying at MUARC?
My favourite thing about studying at MUARC is the interdisciplinarity of the Centre. Each project will have professionals with different backgrounds working for a shared goal. This not only enriches the research done at MUARC, but also each other’s professional experience.
What advice do you have for anyone thinking about studying at MUARC?
It is a great place to continue your education. Both for future academic and consulting careers, MUARC is a good place to develop your critical thinking.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
I plan to join a non-profit organisation that facilitates and supports governments in the development of better road safety practices.
