Why did you choose to study at MUARC?

I chose to study at MUARC because I was looking to undertake a PhD project that I viewed as unique and had the potential to make a practical, positive impact. The IP-GRIP provides the unique opportunity to combine research and industry exposure to make a difference in real world issues. It’s very unique and exciting!

What is your thesis topic?

The gig economy: identifying the changing employment trends and impact on safety culture and injury.

What is your favourite thing about studying at MUARC?

The fantastic community and research topics at MUARC are a great benefit of studying at MUARC.

What advice do you have for anyone thinking about studying at MUARC?

Explore the website, investigate the various topics and industry partners, and then find something that ignites a passion in you and jump in!

What do you hope to do after graduation?

Conduct further research and work in both the academic and regulatory space to promote safety outcome for vulnerable workers.
