Adam Cruickshank is an artist, graphic designer and intermittent publisher. He teaches at Monash University’s faculty of Art Design & Architecture and is pursuing doctoral studies at RMIT’s School of Design.
During Bookworks, Cruickshank enacts his Terms & Conditions project. The project comprises performative publishing activities in the gallery and incorporates contributions from guest participants including, but not limited to, Xavier Antin, Terri Bird, Lizzie Boon, Alex Margetic, Ian Milliss, Spiros Panigirakis, Francis Plagne, Selena Repanis and Rachel Schenberg. The project explores the nature of the relationships between exhibited art practices and the printed matter that both supports and frames them.
Adam will be working in the gallery most Thursdays and Fridays throughout the exhibition, joined at various times by his interlocutors. Feel free to pop in and join them as they cut and glue, re-do, un-do and generally attempt to provoke the power of printed language.
