Epididymal Cyst

Clinical History

The specimen was an incidental post mortem finding in a 67 year old man.

Pathology

The specimen is a testis 4 cm in length, viewed from the external aspect. Arising from the epididymis (best seen posteriorly), there is a thin-walled cyst 7 cm in diameter, which contains clear fluid. The cyst wall is translucent and attached to it are some delicate fibrous adhesions. This is a large cyst of the epididymis.
