Monash welcomes diversity and inclusion week
Diversity and inclusion week comes to Monash with a program of events and activities taking place through the week.
The week celebrates Monash’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, focusing on gender equality, Indigenous engagement, disability awareness, diverse genders and sexualities, student equity, intercultural competence and other social justice initiatives.
There are daily events including a wide range of workshops, presentations, panel discussions, informal gatherings and a cooking class.
Diversity and inclusion week begins on Monday 3 October with highlights including:

Diverse student connections 1pm - 2.30pm, Caulfield (students, staff and the broader community).
Tuesday 4 October
Advancing gender equity in STEMM 9.30am - 11.30am, Clayton (staff only)
Indigenous cultural safety workshop 1.30pm - 4.30pm, Clayton (students only); 9.30am -12.30pm, Mulgrave (staff)
Wednesday 5 October
Photo competition exhibition and awards 12pm - 1.45pm, Clayton (students and staff)
Queer 101 workshop 2pm – 5.00pm, Clayton (students)
Thursday 6 October
Intercultural competence breakfast forum 8am - 9.30am, Clayton (students, staff)
Diversity and Inclusion week festival 12pm – 2pm, Clayton (students, staff, broader community)
Monash queer networking night 6pm – 8pm, Caulfield (students, staff)
Free to feed cooking class 3pm – 5pm, Clayton (Students, staff, broader community)
Friday 7 October
Springboard – reignite your passion 9.15am - 12.15pm, Clayton (staff only)
Transgender awareness session 10am - 1pm, Clayton (students and staff)
