Public lectures

Two of the world’s leading brain researchers, Professors Christof Koch and Karlheinz Meier, will come together to discuss some of the latest international efforts to understand the brain. They will discuss two massive initiatives – the US based Allen Institute for Brain Science and European Human Brain Project. By combining neuroscience with the power of computing both projects are harnessing the efforts of hundreds of neuroscientists in unprecedented collaborations aimed at unravelling the mysteries of the human brain.

This unique free public event, hosted by ABC Radio and TV personality Bernie Hobbs, will feature two short presentations by each brain researcher followed by an interactive discussion with the audience. This is your chance to ask the big brain questions.
