Description

As reasoning is one of four proficiencies in the Australian and Victorian mathematics curricula, Professor Colleen Vale will present her research findings of primary students’ reasoning and teachers’ knowledge, planning, teaching and assessment of mathematical reasoning. 

Professor Colleen Vale will discuss and provide examples to show how teachers (primary and secondary), can engage their students in creative and critical thinking; skills needed by students to engage 21st STEM innovation and development.
