The Emergency Medicine Research Short Course is a 4 - 5 month course run conjointly by Monash University and The Alfred Emergency & Trauma Centre. The course runs for the entire University semester.
This course is equivalent to two postgraduate units. It provides students with a thorough understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) and Research Methods (RM) in the emergency medicine setting. EBM aims to equip students with the necessary skills to identify and incorporate the best available research evidence to their clinical training and clinical practice. RM enables students to acquire the necessary practical skills to design and conduct a research project.
The subjects incorporates both online learning and four face-to-face compulsory block days.
