Your resume is a marketing tool that is the first point of contact between you and the prospective employer. It outlines your qualifications, skills and experience relevant to the job, and hence your suitability for a position. The cover letter personalises your skills, qualifications and experience for a position. An effective cover letter will convince an employer of your suitability to read your resume, and to invite you to a job interview.

The interview is the most critical point in your job search. It involves personally meeting the prospective employer, your chance to ‘sell yourself’ and succeed in winning the job.
