Speaker: Dr Prasad Ranaweera MD, Sri Lankan Visiting Fellow

Dr Ranaweera comes from the Policy Analysis and Development Unit of the Sri Lankan Ministry of Health and has been awarded a prestigious and highly competitive Sri Lankan Government Fellowship to spend a year in the School of Public Health and Preventative Medicine at Monash University. He is studying Australian Medicines Policy, especially the process of translating research into policy and practice, and its relevance to Sri Lanka. While in Australia he will be visiting the Monash Centre for Medicine Use and Safety, Therapeutic Guidelines Limited, the National Prescribing Service and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Division of the Department of Health.
