I am a science student doing honours in genetics. I am very much a cat lover with four cats and volunteering at a cat shelter in my spare time. My other hobbies include any kind of sport or outdoor activities such as the beach and hiking and of course TV shows and movies. My advice for new students would be to really get involved in NRC and make an effort to come to events as they are a nice way to forget about uni stress, make friends and be surrounded by a supportive group.
Hi! I'm Andre and 2019 will be my final year of Mechatronics Engineering at Monash. I enjoy kicking back with mates (after staying in a computer lab for an unhealthy amount of time), social sport and banter. Come talk to me especially if you're a casual anime/manga fan, into epl or just need eng/general uni guidance. My advice for new members is to step out of your comfort zone and participate to get the most out of nrc! I'll try my best to make everyone feel welcome :)
Hey guys!!! My name is Cambell and I'm in my first year of Masters and I am a returning adviser this year. I am a huge fan of travelling around the world and meeting new people and love trying new things. An interesting fact about me would be that I have no sense of direction so please never hand me the map! I am always up for a chat and you'll undoubtedly find me around the science lounge so don't be shy and say hi.
Hey folks! I'm Chloe and I am studying Civil Engineering. My interests are makeup, music, orchestra and queer stuff. This year will mark my 4th year in Orion and I've loved every minute of it. Getting involved with the NRC is a great way to meet new people and do heaps of fun stuff, can't wait to meet you all!
Greetings friends. My name is Christos. Many people try to give me nicknames but the one that has stuck is 'Christos'. I am a fourth year Law/Commerce student, and this is my third year as an adviser. I enjoy listening to music whilst sitting on balconies, so if you have music to share, or balconies to sit on, I'm sure we will get along swell ! Otherwise, I play baseball and soccer, and I enjoy the discipline of working hard to achieve competitive rewards. I hope to bring this attitude towards NRC to give you an enjoyable experience as a member!!!
Hey! My name's Connor and I'm currently studying Medicine. I've come from Sydney to study, and really enjoyed meeting new people and my experience with NRC when I came here last year. I really enjoy sports, specifically rugby and swimming, and in general being active which is why I'm often going to the beach or skating. I look forward to meeting everyone this year and maybe take out the college cup!!
Hi! I'm Darcy and I just completed my undergrad at Monash studying Japanese language and linguistics. This year I am looking forward to beginning my postgraduate studies in secondary education specialising in Japanese language and visual art teaching. I was an NRC member last year and have thoroughly enjoyed participating in college and cluster events! In my free time you will find me drawing, playing sport, listening to music, seeing friends and enjoying nature. Looking forward to seeing you round this year!
Hey everyone, welcome to NRC, or welcome back for another year! My name is Gen, I'm in my 4th year of Science/Arts. Most of my free time involves Netflix or napping, but I also love spending time with family and friends, going out to eat, cooking, reading, and music. My best advice is to make the most of every opportunity in the colleges that comes your way, even if you don't know people going to events, NRC is an incredible way to make lifelong friends.
I'm Jasmine and I study mechanical engineering and computer science. I spend way too much time on Netflix and Youtube and I like to stay up at weird hours in the night to watch F1 while cramming for assessments. If you join Monash dancesport, I might see you around in hip hop and urban classes! My advice for new students is to stay chill, don't stress about studying too much & don't forget about your hobbies or you'll go insane. Try as much of what uni has to offer as you can, whether it's social or networking events cause they're all helpful. And if you're having trouble with anything, I'm always open to help. I'm probably the shortest person you will meet so it'll be very easy to find me.
My name's Karl and I'm currently in my 3rd year of engineering after coming from RMIT, my previous uni. I was born in Australia and can speak two languages (English and Khmer). My hobbies include listening to music, reading and sometimes fishing, but mainly mixed martial arts. It helps me push myself and I get to meet plenty of people through the classes.
Hi, I'm Magnus; I'm in my fourth year studying a double degree in Science/Computer Science. I love travelling and I've just got back from a semester exchange in England, I also spend far too much time reading, listening to music and watching TV shows, and I'm always up for a chat about them. I've been part of the Colleges for the last 3 years and it has easily been one of the best parts of my university experience and I look forward to trying to help you have a great time in the Colleges.
My name is Matt and I'm in my fifth year of Science and Engineering, and third year as a non-res adviser (yeah ik I'm old). My main hobbies are reading, dodgeball, eating and sleeping, but I'm always looking for something new to do so please, hit me up with those recommendations. Looking forward to a new year with new peeps, hopefully I'll see you around!
Hi, my name is Patrick and I'm going into my second year doing a double degree in Materials Engineering and Biomedical Sciences. I enjoy playing Volleyball, Dodgeball and Tennis and sometimes go on bike rides with friends. I also enjoy playing the piano and am interested in travelling. I look forward to meeting everyone this year!
Hey there! My name is Rachel and I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma of Languages (Chinese). I love dancing as well as cooking, and I like to go out and pick up a new skill or try activities I've never done. I also like to stay in sometimes to read a book with a nice cup of tea. This will be my second year of being an adviser, and I'm pretty excited to get to know you guys! I'm always up for a conversation or to help out, so definitely feel free to approach me if you need anything!
Hello! My name is Roshini and I'm currently in my second year studying Bachelors of Nutrition Science. I enjoy going on food adventures, watching TV series and sleeping. I have spent a year as a member and enjoyed the liveliness of the community, which has motivated me to become an adviser this year. I am looking forward to meeting you all and to make this year an exciting one!
Hey there! I'm Ruth, a third year Eng/Arts student and second-time adviser. I love camping, Netflix binges, and over-analysing all my favourite books (just ask me about Harry Potter). The easiest way to win my undying loyalty is to introduce me to a good book or musical, so if you discover something new and want someone to gush with, I am probably your girl.
Hello all! I'm Steph. I'm currently doing honours in zoology (how exciting). My favourite thing to do is watch TV shows - something to easily bring up with me. I really enjoyed my first year at uni in Orion as a member, and have since loved being an adviser so I hope I can help members enjoy their experience too.
Hello everyone my name is Stephanie and I am studying Nutrition Science. My hobbies include singing, reading, photography and travelling. As an international student, I hope to inspire other international students to join and gain the support and experiences that I have had. To all the members, welcome to the big family and hope everyone has a wonderful journey with us.
I'm a 4th year Aerospace Engineering student that has varied interests. I make an effort to read a number of books each year, I play guitar, and I try to sing along. Recently I've gotten into photography/videography, so maybe you could teach me something about that, while I teach you the ropes (that I know) of Monash.
