Background:

Since graduating with a Science Degree in 1982, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of roles in tertiary institutions over the past thirty three years.  From humble beginnings as a graduate research assistant in equine research at Melbourne University to eventually managing Scientific  and teaching research laboratories at Victoria University. My interest in the field of health and safety lead me to further studies and eventually opportunities to work in health and safety roles at Victoria, RMIT, Melbourne and Deakin Universities. I consider myself an OHS generalist whom has developed  years of experience from having worked with managers and safety personnel to oversee risk management of activities conducted in facilities such as technical and trades, aerospace and mechanical engineering, biomedical science, quarantine, chemical, radiation, veterinary research, veterinary and human  hospital facilities.
