Occupational Health Nurse
All Australian Campuses of Monash University
I completed my nursing graduate year at the Alfred Hospital, Prahran. I worked there in both acute general and surgical wards for three years before moving into fertility nursing.
While working in both hospitals and clinics, I developed an interest in occupational health and safety after observing the hazards and risks associated with shift work and the healthcare setting.
I studied a Graduate Certificate of Occupational Health & Safety at La Trobe University. My role at Monash University is my first in occupational health after many years as a health and safety representative in previous jobs. I work with the Occupational Health Nurse Consultants in the areas of health surveillance, ergonomic assessments, work-related immunisations, health promotion, first aid coordination and in developing workplace health-related policy and procedure.
Special interests: Wellbeing, ergonomics and work-related immunisations.
