Senior management

Senior managers include members of the senior executive, deans of faculties and divisional directors. To meet their due diligence they must:

  • hold staff in supervisory or management roles responsible for managing OHS matters in their areas
  • use a risk based approach for managing OHS
  • provide adequate budget for OHS programs
  • regularly discuss OHS issues at meetings of faculties, divisions or senior management
  • monitor and regularly review OHS performance
  • implement OHS policies and procedures endorsed by MUOHSC (Monash Occupational Health & Safety Committee)
  • participate in OHS related initiatives and projects
