Past Event

Amir Farid presents a selection of lyrical and colourful works for piano, including the much loved Ballade No.1 by Frederic Chopin.

A graduate of the Royal College of Music London, US-born Iranian-Australian pianist Amir Farid is a sought-after solo pianist, associate artist and chamber musician. He has performed concerti with the major Australian orchestras, and his recordings are heard frequently on radio stations throughout Australia and internationally. He is also pianist of the award winning Benaud Trio.

We are thrilled to be able to present Amir as part of the Wood, Metal and Vibrating Air series this year. He will perform Chopin’s much loved Ballade No.1, alongside the colourful Carnaval suite of Schumann, and The Beauty of Now, by Melbourne based composer Caerwen Martin.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see one of Melbourne’s favourite young virtuoso pianists in an up close and intimate concert in the David Li Sound Gallery.
