Barney McAll Presents:

Dark & Curious – Meditations of Mike Nock

The Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts

$10 - $25

ARIA-Winning jazz pianist and composer Barney McAll returns to The Count’s.

McAll is partial to unleashing surprises himself, whether they be radical dynamic shifts – such as suddenly reducing a solo to the merest trickle of notes against thrumming bass and whispered cymbal chatter – or just finding bewitchingly unexpected turns to take in developing a melody. Masterful” -SYDNEY MORNING HERALD

This new band, led by Barney McAll, will embark on a journey through Mike Nock’s darker meditations. Nock is one the world’s finest composers and his diverse array of  music has a number of shadowy gems that we will seek to root out, slow down  and re-work for new meditative vantage points. Featuring Gian Slater (Voice), Niran Dasika (Trumpet), Danny Fischer (Drums), Sam Anning (Bass) and Barney McAll (Piano).
